Garden Restoration: The Nettle Patch

I’ve now discovered a stinging nettle patch. I’m going to leave this to grow here as it’s great for a garden to have a patch of nettles – particularly if you love butterflies like I do! Many butterflies lay their eggs on nettles and depend on then for the growth of their caterpillars. These include some of my favourite butterflies - the Peacock, Small Tortoiseshell, Comma, Red Admiral and Painted Lady.
